Las Veletas Cuartel No. 5 Cabernet Franc 2018 is a Chilean red wine from the Maule Valley, made exclusively from Cabernet Franc grapes. It showcases a rich purple color that is very bright and clean. The nose reveals floral and herbal notes of lavender and mint, complemented by mineral hints of graphite and nuances reminiscent of a Cuban cigar box or cedar. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant, displaying high acidity and smooth yet persistent tannins, leading to a long finish.

Rafael Tirado was born into a family with a long history of winemaking, and he grew up working in the family vineyards. He studied winemaking at the University of Chile and then worked for several years at some of the top wineries in Chile, gaining valuable experience and knowledge. In 1993, Rafael Tirado founded Las Veletas, with a focus on producing high-quality wines using sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
