Fingers Crossed "Unanswered Prayers" Syrah 2021 is an American fine wine from California, crafted from a blend of 76.5% Grenache, 11.3% Syrah, 5.5% Mourvèdre, 4% Petite Sirah, and a 2.7% splash of white wine. Aged for 20 months in French oak, with 38% new barrels, this wine showcases an opaque purple-black color. The nose offers a delicious blend of black cherries, black raspberries, exotic spices, and lifted floral notes. The ample palate is opulent and elegant, full of aromatic nuances and crisp black fruits, textured by silky tannins. A concentrated note lingers on the finish. Fingers Crossed is a Rhône-based winery in Oak View, California. Owners and winemakers Nikolas and Julia Krankl focus on quality over quantity, what they affectionately call their “stained hand approach.” Nikolas worked for his parents at Sine Qua Non for five years and in 2017, he decided to pursue a dream and create his own brand with his wife, Julia, a Harvard-trained physician. Each year they create their own piece of art to adorn their bottles and wooden boxes. They have been called rising stars by respected critics like Jeb Dunnuck, Lisa Perotti Brown and Antonio Galloni.
