On the nose, the Dow's LBV 2020 Port has fresh black-fruit notes like blackcurrant and blackberry, layered with dark chocolate, rock rose wildflower, pine, eucalyptus, and forest floor elements.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety with generous ripe black fruits, damson, and spicy plum, supported by peppery tannins and fine acidity. This leads to a smooth, structured, and long finish, showing Dow's signature mineral freshness, earthy schist character, and a dry hint of tobacco and tea on the close.
