ABOUT THIS WINE

Descendientes de Jose Palacios Bierzo Villa de Corullon 2011 is a distinctive Spanish wine from the Bierzo region in Castilla y León, made from Mencía grapes. This ripe Mencía features delicate aromas of prune, raisin, fig, and cooked red fruits, along with organic notes of peat. On the palate, it is intense and offers great depth, with flavors of cooked black fruits, wild herbs, dried black plum, and chocolate. The wine concludes with a long, toasty, spicy finish, showcasing superb precision and length. Rated 93 by Robert Parker.
