Powell & Son Steinert 2014 is an Australian wine from Eden Valley and Barossa, crafted from Shiraz grapes. It displays a deep garnet-purple color with a lifted nose featuring kirsch, crushed red currants, and black raspberries, along with hints of wild thyme, lavender, black pepper, and cloves. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm backbone of grainy tannins that support elegant yet intensely flavored fruit. The wine offers great harmony and freshness, leading to a very long finish. Rated 97+ by Robert Parker.
