ABOUT THIS WINE

The Unanswered Prayers is bursting with intense, dynamic perfume! Alluring tones of beeswax, cashews and spring butter give way to a core of golden apples, apricot and jasmine, and it releases exotic undertones as it spends time in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and layered, offering wave after wave of highly concentrated yet nuanced flavors. It has an energy derived from slowly building freshness, and a touch of grip pulls at that flavor into a long finish.

This blend is 72% Chardonnay, 15.4% Roussanne and 12.6% Marsanne comes predominantly from Sanford and Benedict Vineyard, with the balance from Bien Nacido Vineyard. It was barrel fermented and matured for 21 months in 86% new French oak.

Fingers Crossed is a Rhône-based winery in Oak View, California. Owners and winemakers Nikolas and Julia Krankl focus on quality over quantity, what they affectionately call their “stained hand approach.” Nikolas worked for his parents at Sine Qua Non for five years and in 2017, he decided to pursue a dream and create his own brand with his wife, Julia, a Harvard-trained physician. Each year they create their own piece of art to adorn their bottles and wooden boxes. They have been called rising stars by respected critics like Jeb Dunnuck, Lisa Perotti Brown and Antonio Galloni.
